Shasta County will hold public meetings to share progress and receive public feedback on where boundary lines should fall. Public meetings are scheduled to take place on:

How can I provide public comment and input?

Submit Public Comment

To submit comments and documents by email prior to the meeting:

Email the comment and documents to elections@co.shasta.ca.us.

State “Public Comment for Citizen’s Redistricting Advisory Commission” in the subject line of your email so it is easily identifiable to staff.  If your comment pertains to a particular item on the agenda, please also reference the agenda item number (e.g. Agenda Item 1).

Emails must be received by 5:00 p.m. one day prior to the meeting in order to ensure that they will be reviewed by the Commission prior to the meeting.

Emails will not be read verbally by the during the meeting.  Emailed comments and documents received will be provided to the Commission for their review prior to or during the Public Comment – Open Time Period provided on the agenda.

To submit comments and documents by U.S. mail prior to the meeting:

Forward comments and documents to the Shasta County Clerk/Registrar  to arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. one day prior to the meeting.

Mail to Shasta County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, PO Box 990880, Redding, CA 96099-0880.

All such mailed comments and documents will be provided to the Board for their review prior to or during the Public Comment – Open Time Period provided on the agenda.
