Occupation: Shasta County Supervisor

Great difficulties exist as California raises taxes and over-regulates. Even so, I have great hope for Shasta’s future as a safe, family-friendly, prosperous community, remaining determined to work hard and work through the most difficult challenges. I’m unwavering in my support for law-enforcement. From Sheriff Bosenko; “I endorse Supervisor Baugh as he is a strong supporter of public safety and the Sheriff’s Office.” I’m doing everything possible to keep Shasta financially safe as well, voting to reduce my own salary and eliminate County-funded health benefits after retirement for all new employees. It’s estimated Shasta County will eliminate retirement health liability by 2040, saving taxpayers about $150 million. I’ve worked hard to improve mental health services, help bring millions of dollars of road improvements to my district and funding for a resident deputy in Shingletown. I’m proud to have chaired the Area Agency on Aging to supply food and services to our seniors, and have worked tirelessly to raise funds for veterans and firefighters. Serving as your Supervisor, working together toward a positive future, is one of the greatest blessings of my life. Personal thanks to families, seniors, law-enforcement, veterans and businesses for your support. Thanks for voting Les Baugh, Supervisor.
